My name is Roxanne Beckman and I would like to welcome you to my online portfolio. I have had a serious interest in art and photography since I was a youngster. As a child, using my brownie box camera to capture the images surrounding me always filled me with anticipation while awaiting development, and wonder upon receiving the finished photos. Today, I shoot with the latest Canon digital equipment, and although the results are nearly instant, the anticipation and wonder are still within me. In high school I worked at expanding my knowledge of all things photographic, including darkroom and enlarging techniques, as well as black and white imaging, by participating in after-school and weekend classes and workshops. Later, I combined my love of photography and flying when I started an aerial photography business.
Throughout my life I have been fortunate to live in and visit much of this great country, always with camera in hand. The images you see here on my website are a small sampling of the collection I have compiled during this time. I presently reside in southwestern Arizona where I never have a shortage of incredible sunsets to shoot right outside my back door! I hope to add to these photographs, as well as the one-of-a-kind frames which I make in my workshop, and will continue to update my online gallery with these new additions. You will see an occasional tribute to the world of flight, as I have a passion for aviation that is shared with my love for the wonders of nature and her wildlife. I hope you will check back often as I continue to explore this magnificent country through the lense of my camera.
